John leads the Investment Strategy and Research team at one of the UK’s largest asset owners. RPMI Railpen is responsible for the fiduciary advice and investment management of 3 pension schemes, the largest of which is the Railways Pension Scheme with around £30bn of assets, 350,000 members and over 100 individual sections. John has been with Railpen for over 8 years and his team is focused on ensuring that Railpen’s overall strategic investment process is aligned to the needs of a wide range of clients and stakeholders. His team’s responsibilities span client ALM, portfolio construction, risk governance and strategic investment research.
Before joining Railpen in 2012, John previously held a number of roles in private wealth management across equity research, fund research and strategy. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
