City hive is an independent organisation which partners with companies across the investment management industry, helping them to meet their sustainability responsibilities in creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive corporate culture. As Chief Strategist for City Hive, Mandy is an advocate for cultural change in the investment management industry to support a transition to a more sustainable and future-proof industry. 

Mandy provides advisory to investors on implementing and reporting on their sustainability impacts and outcomes, as well as supporting industry efforts. She is technical author of a British standard on Responsible and Sustainable Investment Management (BSI PAS7341), and a member of the BSI’s Strategic Advisory Group for Sustainable Finance. Prior to co-founding City Hive, she was part of the leadership team at the UN supported Principles for Responsible Investment. As Director of Reporting Assessment and Accountability, she was responsible for encouraging and improving global investor disclosure on the incorporation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment decisions and developed reporting for service providers. Mandy has advocated for higher reporting standards alongside global corporate and investor reporting and standard-setting bodies, including UN partners UNGC and UNEP-FI. 

Previously, as Associate Director at the Maplecroft consultancy, she advised global blue-chip clients in both developed and emerging markets on issues of risk management and sustainability.  She managed the European and Central Asia country analysis team at IHS Global Insight, conducting political analysis across 50 countries and economic forecasting.

Mandy is Chair of the Shell Sustainability Report Review Panel. She holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Politics and East European Studies from University College London.
