State Street Global Advisors, which is the world’s third largest asset manager, with nearly $2.7 trillion in assets under management. In his role, Philip is responsible for proxy voting and for leading engagements with board directors and executives of portfolio companies, on corporate strategy, governance, sustainability and proxy contests in the EMEA region.
Before joining State Street Global Advisors, Philip worked as a Corporate Governance Manager at Fidelity International responsible for the company’s proxy voting and engagement activities in a number of European countries and North America.
Philip sits on the UK Investment Association’s Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee. He is a regular writer on governance and sustainability issues and speaks frequently at industry conferences.
Philip holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the University of Nottingham Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the Manchester Metropolitan University. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has passed Level I of the CFA program.
