Jonathan is a partner and Head of the Derivatives & Structured Products Group at Travers Smith, and a member of the firm's ESG and Impact Group.
He advises major UK financial institutions and pension schemes on derivatives and structured products, including ISDA, GMRA, and GMSLA documentation, sustainability-linked derivatives, carbon trading, green bonds, and other ESG financial instruments, working closely with industry bodies to develop policy and regulation in this space.
Recognised as a 'Leading Individual' by Chambers and Legal 500 and 'Highly Regarded' by IFLR, Jonathan is a member of P.R.I.M.E. Finance and actively involved with ISDA and ICMA. A sought-after speaker, he contributes to the International Comparative Legal Guide on ESG and Derivatives Laws and chairs the Association of Pension Lawyers' Investment Sub-Committee.
Jonathan's commitment to sustainable finance is reflected in his pro bono work supporting the Impact Investing Institute, the Green Finance Institute, and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. He is also a member of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Board.
