Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
The PRI is a UN-supported organisation, with more than 5,300 signatories globally who collectively represent over US $128 trillion in
AUM. He is responsible for the PRI’s global operations.
Most recently, David served as the Deputy CEO for AMP Capital and before that spent almost 13 years as
the CEO for Cbus Superannuation Fund where he saw membership grow from 500,000 to over 750,000
and assets under management rise from $12 billion to $55 billion AUD.
David has served on the board of the Climate Council. He was previously the Vice-Chair of the Australian
Business Reporting Forum, is a former member of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative Steering
Committee and served as an Ambassador for the International Integrated Reporting Council.
David was also the Australian asset owner representative on the PRI Board, and an alternate Director on the
Australian Council of Superannuation Investors. He was a member of the Male Champions for Change
Initiative, a Pay Equity Ambassador on behalf of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) and
Chair of SuperFriend, a not-for-profit mental health foundation focused on creating mentally healthy
workplaces.
David has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from La Trobe University for his work in the
sustainable finance field, was awarded the FEAL Fund Executive of the Year in 2017 and was presented
with a ASFA Life Membership in 2020.
