Allen is a Managing Director and General Counsel of APG Asset Management US Inc. In that capacity he oversees all the legal, regulatory and tax matters for APG US.

He oversees a team of 7 professionals who cover the investment and other activities of APG US, including investments in private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private natural capital, alternative credits and other public market investments.

Allen joined APG US in 2011 as Senior Counsel, becoming General Counsel in 2019. He is a member of the Executive Committee of APG US and the Global Legal Management Team of APG. Allen previously held the Assistant General Counsel position at Bain Capital, and before that, at Citigroup Alternative Assets. He started his career at Ropes & Gray LLP.

Allen holds a B.S. in Finance from Miami University and Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law.
