Matilde rejoined APG in February 2022 as Chief Executive Officer of APG US. She is responsible for overseeing APG US’s investment activities and operations, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategy, mission, and the long-term interests of its clients. She serves as Chair of the APG US Executive Committee, Chair of the Private Equity Co-Investment Committee, and Chair of APG’s global Responsible Investment Board.

Prior to returning to APG, Matilde was Chief Risk Officer for Asia Pacific at Fidelity International from 2019 to 2021. In this role, she led the implementation and oversight of Fidelity International’s Global Risk Management Framework across all APAC business locations. She also helped build Fidelity’s global risk monitoring and oversight framework for Sustainable Investing and Corporate Sustainability, representing Global Risk on the Sustainable Investment Oversight Committee and the Corporate Sustainability Committee. During her tenure at Fidelity, she served on the boards of Fidelity’s Korea and Taiwan business entities and was Manager in Charge for Risk Management in Hong Kong.

Matilde spent more than a decade at APG Asset Management between 2005 and 2018, holding senior roles across Europe, Asia, and the United States. She began as a Portfolio Manager on APG’s Global Tactical Asset Allocation team in Amsterdam, later transferring to APG Asia, where she was appointed Global Co-Head of Investment Risk Management. She relocated to the United States in 2015 to join APG US and was promoted to Chief Finance and Risk Officer US in 2018.

Earlier in her career, Matilde held investment strategy and capital markets roles at AEGON Asset Management in The Hague and ABN AMRO Rothschild Bank in Hong Kong. She is a CFA charter holder and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Utrecht University.
