Iain joined Smithfield is head of special projects for Smithfield, the financial PR division of Edelman UK. He was previously Business Editor of The Sunday Times, the leading British quality newspaper – where he worked for more than a decade. He was named UK Business Journalist of the Year in 2010 in recognition of his coverage of the financial crisis. He also spent two years as the paper’s New York Correspondent, covering politics, cultural issues and leading investigations. He previously worked for The Sunday Telegraph, Scotland on Sunday and The Scotsman. He acts for a range of clients, mostly in financial services. He is also an author, whose last book The Cryotron Files, tells the true story of an early pioneer of computing who died in mysterious circumstances.
