Senior Partner
Philipp, a Senior Partner in McKinsey‘s New York office, co-leads the North America Wealth and
Asset Management Practice. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has been working across the globe with
asset managers, insurance companies, banks, institutional clients and pension plans. In addition to leading
the European Asset Management Practice between 2013 and 2018, he was also leading the Banking
Practice in Germany between 2014 and 2020.
Recent project experiences in the area of sustainable investing include:
Optimizing carbon-footprint of the real estate (investment) portfolio for a leading global insurance
company
Reviewing Sustainable Investing strategy for the asset management businesses of leading global
financial services company
Designing organizational set-up of for a leading US asset management organization to include ESG
principles across entire the business model
Mobilizing a leading global asset management firm to capture business opportunities regarding net zero
transition financing in the public and private arena
Education and prior work experience
Prior to joining McKinsey, Philipp received a Master of Science from the London School of Economics
and Political Science
