Tony is General Counsel and Director of Legal Services at The Pensions Regulator (TPR). The Directorate includes teams that specialise in investment and policy work. Anthony qualified as a solicitor 16 years ago and has worked at TPR for the last nine years, initially as a litigation lawyer and subsequently in policy, management and leadership roles. Anthony has extensive experience of regulatory, pensions and public law and practice. Prior to his work at TPR, Anthony specialised in white-collar crime litigation.
Steve leads Aviva Investors' Global Responsible Investment team, which is responsible for integrating environmental social and corporate governance (ESG) issues across all asset classes and regions of c£350bn of assets under management. The team has achieved an A+ ranking in governance and strategy from the UN Principles for Responsible Investment; and won the Responsible Investor Thought Leader and Innovator of the Year global award in 2017.
Steve appointed to the European Commission High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance, and the UK Green Finance Taskforce, and is also a member of the Financial Stability Board Taskforce on Climate Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD). He was highlighted by the Financial Times in 2018 as being one of the warriors of climate change among Money Managers.
